Rob Howe to talk PSU/His Perspective today at 1:30

Thanks for having Rob on, Jon. I only caught the last 15 minutes of the show, but it is something that needs to be talked about.

My wife and I were talking this morning about this. She said that she hears stories like this all the time (Oprah) but as we have seen, this being tied into sports has made the discussion reach a whole other stratosphere. It is very difficult and uncomfortable to talk about but we need to.

who you crapping...you watch oprah, too

I mentioned in another thread that I was a victim of a predator priest, and filed a lawsuit against an Archdiocese when I learned (as an adult) that the Archdiocese simply transferred the priest to another parish, even after I reported what had happened to the principal of my (Catholic) school. That priest - of course - went on to molest dozens more. When I filed that lawsuit, many people blasted me in letters to the editor. Perhaps now, in light of the PSU scandal, more people will understand why I did it, and why we all need to concern ourselves with victims before anyone or anything else.

As a life long Catholic, I would like to thank you for helping bring this to the light of day. I can say confidently you have the majority of Catholics in your corner. It's a travesty that the people in charge thought it more important to protect pedophiles than the children of the church. I'm sorry that happened to you.

Neil, you r right things r haywire in a society where 1 in 6 boys and 1 in 3 girls are sexually assaulted by the age of 18

Before this week, most people didn't know that. Now they do. And I hope they learn what can be learned to do their part to prevent it and better protect their children.

I'm curious as to how this 1 in 6 boys and 1 in 3 girls was figured. I think these numbers are even worse if they only figured the numbers based off of the people who actually reported the incedent. Rob even stated he hadn't told but only a few people until he wrote the article.
