I would not want to play Urban Meyer and Florida. I think you are setting yourself up for a USC like game. Beating GT last year was great, but a triple option team is tailor made for a defense that has a great DL that can neutralize the run game, and free up the LBs. Keep in mind that same GT team was crushed by a middle of the road SEC team(Georgia) at the end of the year. Perspective needs to be kept here.

1. I heard we have a pretty good head coach too.
2. We have talent as well.
3. If GT was "crushed" 30-24 by UGa, then I guess we'd have to say Iowa "crushed" a lot of teams last year too since a 6 point victory is "crushing" someone, including GT since we "crushed" them 24-14. And since we about "crushed" everyone except NU and OSU, teams should be afraid of playing us. Plus, why wouldnt you want to play the best? Are you satisfied beating South Carolina as your bowl game?

I'm so tired of all of this talk, lets settle it on the field! Hard to argue with W's. Although, some of these douchebags would argue and call us lucky if we were 12-0. I'll take being lucky every week if that's the case! Go Hawks!

Iowa was not eligible for the Rose Bowl last season. Ohio St was considered the Big ten Champion, not Iowa.

I also heard that if your bowl tie in has been selected to play in the title game, that spot must be filled with a NON BCS school. in this case it would be Boise St. Someone correct me if i am wrong.

It doesnt have to be filled by a non bcs school, only if the non bcs school is in the top 12 or whatever.
 
The only time I want the Hawks to play in the Rose Bowl is when we're Big Ten Champions. Otherwise, I'd rather go to another BCS bowl.

The Rose Bowl just doesn't excite me a whole lot when it's not the Big Ten champs against the PAC-10 champs.
 
I think that would be an intriguing match between us and Florida in New Orleans. Maybe we could deliver some justice to them for the screwjob back in the 06 outback bowl.
