Rittenberg Big 10 Bowl projections...

Amazing how he does a 180 after we crushed MSU a week earlier. Yes, we struggled with Indiana, but who did MSU beat? Minnesota. Yeah, that's praise-worthy.

Looks like he has fallen off of the Iowa bandwagon. He is predicting tOSU to beat us thus knocking us down to the Outback bowl. Guess we need to open up a can of whoopass on NW this weekend to set things straight...

Big Ten bowl projections - Big Ten Blog - ESPN

He has Michigan State losing to Penn State. If that happens and Iowa loses to OSU I think Iowa would go to the Capital One Bowl and MSU to Outback Bowl.

Yeah, I think he's jumping the gun a little bit. Not only that but all the Big 10 shills get a hard-on for OSU so it's no doubt he's going to talk up the Bucks.

Well after being a drop away from losing to Indiana I don't think predicting a loss to OSU is crazy. I personally hope Iowa and OSU take care of business this weekend giving the Iowa-OSU game a bigger build-up. I can't wait for Nov. 20th. Should be a classic game.....

Exactly, we SHOULD have lost to Indiana if there receiver could catch a wide open pass. I mean, nobody needs to complain about his assessment of Iowa after that game. If OSU did that everyone would be saying how much Iowa is going to beat OSU by. I don't know if that happens, but I hope Iowa wins, but it's a what have you done lately business, and we didn't do much of as lately (last saturday)

Are you kidding me? Rittenberg is one of Iowa's biggest proponents for a year and a half, and after one round of deserved criticism, he's an OSU homer?

His bowl projections change weekly (as they should). After Iowa barely escaped with a win when they should've won by 21+, I don't think it's unreasonable for him to readjust his expectations. If Iowa beats Northwestern and OSU (I think they will), this will be a non-issue, anyway. If Iowa DOESN'T win those games, Rittenberg turns out to be 100% correct. In my opinion, he isn't the one overreacting here. ;)

He's not overreacting at all. When you're one dropped pass away from blowing your chances at the Big Ten title and a repeat BCS game, and you're already looking at being left out of the BCS talk, then the Outback isn't that far out of the ordinary.

We sucked last week, but got the win. Barely. But if we play like that again, then we're gonna lose to jNW AND tOSU.

I can't blame anybody for thinking OSU will beat us; our history against OSU is just that bad.

But MSU should not be ahead of us, regardless of how we played Saturday. Yeah, we didn't blow Indiana out, and that frustrates me.

But we were never down 17 either, as MSU was to Northwestern a couple of weeks ago. Nor did we get crushed by 31. Was a 23 point win over Minnesota really that impressive compared to an Indiana team that at least has a pulse?

OSU homer, no. But everybody knows that OSU is the marquee team in the conference and any chance the media gets to bump their chests over them they will take it.

As for the Indiana loss, one only needs to point to Arizona and Wiscy to see that even though we have played bad a handful of times this year, we have an uncanny ability to bounce back extremely well. This should have been a loss, and the players should be treating it as such. Games like Indiana force the players and staff to come down to Earth and put their nose to the grind. I would not be shocked if we come out and dominate NW this weekend like we did MSU. If that's the case then, yes I do believe AR is jumping ship too early.

Ohio St. is the most overrated team in the country. Would not be surprised to see them struggle with Penn St. this weekend.

Well if our kicker could make a 23 yard FG that drop doesn't freakin matter now does it? See the breaks worked out both ways and in the end the better team won, just really ugly.

well there is some irony in the timing of this statement but so be it. OSU is ranked about where they should be. They've smoked the bad to mediocre teams and struggled with the one tough team in a road night game. Not unexpected, I anticipated UW being OSU's toughest game this year due to there style and the location of the game. UW is the only B10 team Tressel has struggled with since being at OSU. I don't anticipated OSU struggling much with PSU at home, even though OSU's defense is really banged up, especially at LB and safety. PSU just isn't very good. The Iowa game should be a nice challenge, winner to a BCS game I'd imagine.
