Right now, today, who would you draft higher?

DJK or Marvin McNutt?

All things considered, I would take McNutt. Not only do I think he has more upside on offense (though DJK could make bigger plays on ST), the off-field issues of late make the decision way easier in my mind.

McNutt in a heartbeat. He has IMO a much larger upside. He seems to catch just about anything as to where DJK misses alot of easy catches. McNutt gets alot of separation as well. IMO DJK has always been a lazy reciever.

Interesting question. I don't know if recent events have clouded my judgment, but I think I would go with McNutt as well. Hopefully McNutt stays, but I'm curious to see what the pros think of his potential

McNutt had a lot of drops this year for some reason. I would take DJK as I think he would be a good receiver you could put in the slot at the next level. He has those quick breaks that I don't think Marvin has. I'll question whether Marvin will be able to get separation at the next level.

DJK will be in stripes next year and McNutt will still be wearing a Hawkeye uni. I think Marvin will learn that another year in college will serve him well. I hope he comes back for his own good not just because I want him to.

McNutt. His body type seems like it will work in the NFL. DJK is a tweener, not tall enough to be an outside guy who can go up and get the ball, but not fast/quick enough to be a slot receiver. DJK has a higher floor, but McNutt has the higher ceiling.

I would take DJK. Not only could he be a good 3rd receiver out of the slot, he could be a helluva kick returner as well.

DJK is the one with NFL-ready talent right now ... If I was a GM this off-season, I'd pick neither

Of course, it would depend on the team and their needs, but I would think that DJK is more NFL-ready than McNutt. McNutt, with his size, probably has the bigger upside and, IMO, will be much more interesting next year after another college season to learn the position...

DJK is more NFL ready hands down. If it wasn't for DJK being in legal trouble this wouldn't even be a question. That said, I think McNutt would be smart to come back next year and let Soup coach him up one more year. Marvin is still new to the position and would definitely improve his professional chances by coming back and improving his route running and separation skills. Oh and by the way, McNutt has NFL sized hands.

I would pick DJK- he has the ability to fit into several roles, while I think McNutt is what he is an outside receiver. I have always wondered why Iowa never used him in the slot or as a punt returner. One thing about DJK as a split or flank- he is very good at slipping out of jams and is usually excellent at route running and the detail part of the position. I also think he will test very well, if he gets a combine invite.
