I got sick of reading about the same comparison soooo who you got? Ricky Stanzi or Chuck Long? I'm going Ricky obviously...ole Chucky don't hold a candle to Americanzi.

Tomorrow's comparison: Nile Kinnick vs Sam Brownlee

Chuck Long and it is NOT even close...his teams didn't have to constantly win in spite of him.

It is Chuck Long. The guy was the best QB in the nation in '85, by a pretty good margin, too.

He would have won the Heisman but for a once-in-a-generation type athlete in Bo Jackson.

This Chuck Long talk makes me want to perm my hair.

With regard to tomorrow's comparison, I'll answer early. It is Nile Kinnick. Sam Brownlee had a lot of heart, but was not that great of a college football player. Nile Kinnick was a great college football player. He won the Heisman, for God's sake. Sam Brownlee was not even invited to the Downtown Athletic Club for the presentation of the Heisman. So I will go with Nile Kinnick.

I bet if chuck long were to play on any of the 2006/2007 nd or this yrs team, we would be undefeated. Haha. We would definitly pass more

Randy Reiners reference ... cool. He of crooked facemask.

Hayden said Chuck was "destined for greatness", and as a college qb he certainly was. Runner-up to Bo (not Pelini) for Heisman in closest race in history, at least to that point. 22 completions in a row on the road in a B10 game. B10 championship and Rose Bowl berth. Bunches of B10 records. Team #1 ranking in mid-season. Heismanzi is a good leader, but Chuck was a leader and a thrower.
