Rick K heading to Nebby?

If Rick is leaving, I would count on KF getting Jerry Montgomery away from Michigan to coach the defensive line.

Jerry wants to come back to Iowa City more than anything. He has a young family he wants to raise here. His wife, Natalie, is from the Dyersville area, and when he was at Wyoming, he arranged for the D-staff to come to IC for observation and instruction from Norm's staff.

He is still very connected to U of I.

If there's one coach I wouldn't mind losing, it's Kaz.

He is not well liked by the players, isn't a great recruiter, and the DL this year was HORRIBLE.

That would be amazing... I mean to bring Mattison with him. Uhg...If only Norm would have retired last year, I would bet my house that Greg mattison would be our DC right now. But don't get me wrong; I am a Norm Parker fan.

But i think that ship has sailed, as he is making big money in Mich, and for that matter, Jerry Montgomery is probably feeling pretty comfy working with Greg right now and has some (sorry to say it) SEC quick/big talent on that D-line that will give all they have for that staff. If that staff stays together, they will have the best defense in the B1G (man, I hate typing that) for as long as they are there.

I hate michigan as much as the next guy, but Hoke has put together a pretty impressive staff on defense, and I mean that for recruiting and coaching skills.

Wish I could argue with you, but I can't. No way we get Mattison. Montgomery is a name I hadn't even thought about.
 
Maybe, just maybe, KF know who the DC is going to be. Also, maybe the DC knows who he wants on his staff. This might just be a move to avoid firings later on.

Because NOBODY gets fired on KF's staff. They just seem to "choose" to go someplace else.

My uncle from Illinois says all the talk over there is that the DC from the Illini is coming to Iowa and it is a done deal, which is why he is not sticking around there. I told him he was full of sh*t that there was no way he was coming. I have nothing to base it on, but has anyone heard similar rumors at all?

Kraft is still free to donate to whatever charities it wants to.

footballscoop is not crap. sources are legit. those giys are well connected. doesnt mean they miss occassionaly our plans dont change.

it is a rumor site for college coaching. it never really catered to fans until more recently.

there is no more accurate site out there period.
