My initial, quick read of the documents didn't find any bombshells or smoking guns. Not to say Dennis Dodd or Gregg Doyel or Mr. Bob Woodword himself, the AP's Ryan J. Foley, won't try to manufacture something.

While it largely portrays the process you'd go through managing the communications side of such a potentially damaging story, it came across to me as a rather bloated PR effort by committee: many thumbs stuck in the pie, no one really jumping out and making a quick decision on what could/should be said, which I think contributed to the perception of a slow response.
