There is certainly room for gray in this scenario. But, even in a place as dysfunctional as Nebraska they understand the analogy that when you hire the chef you have to let him choose the ingredients. If the food turns out to be garbage you fire the chef, you don't try to tell him how to cook better.Like just about everything in life it's likely somewhere in the middle. I don't think Rhule is going to be driven out even if he doesn't make a bowl.
I could however see it being plausible that rich folks with some sway encouraged something to happen.
