I think if we beat Penn St and win the first game in the B1G tourney and then lose to a top seed. I think it's enough to get in. How you keep Iowa out with beating all of the top B1G teams and the controversial lose at Minny. 1 of the nation's best scorers and a team of Freshman that play a fast pace game. I mean if your goal is to make dollars then it has to make cents. Iowa makes sense/cents to me.

That leaves WAY too much to chance for my taste. Two or three mid-major/non-P5 tournaments go off-the-rails, bubble teams in ACC losing early (but, being ACC, still get in over us), Illinois or Michigan advancing further than us in BTT, etc.

Make finals and I think that takes most of that out of the equation. Lose in semis probably wouldn't kill us if only one of above happens. Losing earlier keeps ALL of that in play.

Don't you worry that your asking a bit much from a team that 3 weeks ago the fan base had all but given up on NCAA hopes? A team that is young and inexperienced in tournament play. Don't you worry that this is the first year that tourney moves to D.C. to a gym that none of our players are familiar with? If your pinning your hopes on making the B1G finals don't you consider that you are asking for an A+ performance from a solid B student? I'm expecting that we handle business against Penn St on Senior night in our house. I am expecting that we handle business in our first round tourney game against a lower seeded team. That is all I can reasonably expect. Does it make us a lock for the NCAA? No, but I want that to be good enough. If we don't make the tournament I won't lose any sleep. This team has already exceeded what people thought they were capable of and have proven they will be just fine moving forward. If the NCAA selection committee snubs us I say F**k em let's go win the NIT and show those idiots what they missed out on.
