Rest vs. Start

Do you think that the Colts will rest their starters in the next two weeks? Do you think that they SHOULD rest their starters? From what I've gathered it sounds like Wayne, Peyton and the rest want to play. I hope they play, just because history tends to lean toward a one and done in the playoffs for bye teams that rest their starters.

Do you have the stats and info. as to what teams have done this in the past say decade? I'd be curious to see the data.

Frankly, I'd be inclined to play the season outright regardless.

Play football, as Reggie Wayne said last night they want to play and are built to play 20 games over the course of the season.

Funny, because that isn't the NFLPA position when it comes to bartering for the next CBA.

They could probably rest some as the next 2 games are winnable without the starters playing the entire game...

My guess is they don't rest.

After the Giants beat the Patriots to win the Superbowl and stop New England's bid to go undefeated, I don't recall Tom Brady saying "I was so gassed out there...If only we had rested in week 18."

If the Colts don't go for it, it will be out of fear of the moment...you have to want to be great. Even if they rest their starters vs Buffalo and still win, it's tainted.

BTW I think they should have played Freeney and Mathis more last night especially after MJD started getting the edge with no effort at all
