How about you give us your analysis of what that Stiles guy had in his tweets. What did his numbers show to you?

The two most productive lineups for Iowa this season were:

1. Clemmons, Gesell, Uthoff, White, Woodbury +75
2. Gesell, Jok, Uthoff, White, Woodbury +60

I think that it is not coincidence that these are the two different starting lineups we've had this year.

Or, The Oppositional Defiant Disorder type of posters? Completely forgot that one. He/she argues the opposite of every opinion offered. Then there is the always popular Projectionists. They're the ones that attempt to attach an opinion or viewpoint onto another poster, regardless of whether or not they agree with or offered a similar opinion.
You're a Pigeon Holer. That's the type of poster that attempts to shoe horn everyone into one group or another. You never bother to ask if anyone wants to be in the groups you've separated out.

I think what OP is trying to say is that there was very little difference between Olaseni and Woodbury, although he sure as heck was reluctant to actually say it (for a reason I do not understand).

I think anyone watching the entire season would conclude that Olaseni was the more dangerous offensive player (and a better OFFENSIVE rebounder) but that Woody was the far better defender, defensive rebounder and passer.

I think Woodbury will take another step next year and turn into a very good post player. He will never be a great scorer because his shooting mechanics SUCK (get the elbow in, Woody)

Could be. But who knows what that numb nuts was trying to say.

(Btw, I agree with your opinion regarding Adam and Gabe. You get different things from them but their overall value was about even.)

I was bummed when Brendan chose to close up shop this fall. I enjoyed his stuff and he came at things from a different angle. Some angles aren't for everyone. You do this stuff long enough you develop a sizable chunk of folks who aren't a fan of what you do...goes with the turf.

Don't worry about this. The OP is very clearly an innumerate dum-dum who does not deserve to be paid any attention. If his argument is that Woodbury is better than Gabe, then the data he presents weakly refutes his position.

I think any reasonable fan can see that Woodbury and Gabe are reasonably even players, albeit with differing strengths and weaknesses. On any given night, match-ups and frankly random variance (i.e. a player getting a hot hand on a given night) explain differences in productivity as well as any other hypothesis.

This is correct. They are both incredibly frustrating incomplete players.

One thing is obvious though you can pick out posters who don't know basketball as well because they think Gabe is heads and shoulders better than Woodbury because he dunks and blocks some shots and Woodbury cant jump.

They really don't even notice, let alone understand what's going on away from the ball on either side and for some reason choose to ignore that Gabe misses just as many bunnies as Woodbury.
