REPLACEMENTS WHO ARE THEY?

That's an interesting question but I think he'd be looking for a head coaching job. You'll never be able to pay him enough but Norm Chow (who may be too old now) at one point was the best OC going....

For Norm's replacement I'd get one of those guys at TCU their D is awesome year in and year out and they bring it! They don't play that ***** D.

are you referring to chuck long the former SDSU head coach and currently the toffensive coordinator at kansas?

I'm not referring to Chuck Long at all...I wouldn't hire him even though I rode on a plane back from San Diego with him when he took the KU OC job. He's a really super guy, good recruiter...coaching abilty not so much.

I would pay the DC and OC from boise they both bring it sad to see them loose I was looking forward to them stomping one of the three teams we will be sending.

Mark Farley from UNI as the OC, and Wade Phillips as the DC.

Those are my favorites for two reasons. A hungry coach, Wade needs a job and is a genius as a DC, if there was any program that is run like an NFL franchise at the college football level it is the Iowa Football Program. This would be a temporary fix until KF is really ready to hand the reins over to someone internally. because Wade would likely be off to another NFL job within 2-3 years.

Farley runs the ball and features a unique offensive attack. I played HS ball against Sanders, while he was a hell of an athlete, what Farley did with him was nothing short of amazing getting him the runner up for the Walter Peyton Award. After a few years as the OC, with success Farley would quickly become my favorite for replacing KF once he wants to call it quits.

We're putting the cart before the horse. Teams that replace both coordinators are usually desperate and it creates further instability. I think Norm is done after this year. I have heard Darrell Wilson has a very different personal style than Parker and Kirk. I have heard he would be a very good coordinator.

If Kirk hires from outside the program he should bring in a guy with experience as an NFL position coach and a college coordinating experience.

What's the story on what Wilson would do differently? More blitzing and aggressive play, more man, 3-4?

I like the farley bit! He is a great play caller and proven winner! Wade phillips runs 3/4 defense we are not built for it!

i think derby moves to LB, ruddock is the real deal. with derby at LB we suddenly have a plethora of LB's to play with. DERBY could play more of a "star" SS/LB in the TCU defensive schemes.

Wade Phillips is kinda soft, FARLEY is one of the most intense guys i have ever seen stroll a sideline.

I hear there are a lot of people on this board that could do the cordinator's jobs. j/k.

As stated many times before, this is Kirk's offense, so no matter who you bring in your going to see the same style.

As for the DC, a young energetic guy would be nice, somebody who shows emotion on the sidelhines when there is a big play, but if Norm can coach and be at games, I am all for that.

Chuck Long hates KF. KF came in and brought KOK. Long was the QB coach but KOK wanted to coach the QB's. Long looked at the lightweight KOK, yes he was a lightweight and couldn't believe what he was hearing. He basically was pushed out the door.

Derby transfers if he gets asked to play LB. I would use him as a switch up QB. Jump in to the spread with Derby back there a couple series game...it would drive D coordinators nuts trying to prepare for that insanity.

Derby wants to play QB! I kinda think kirk made some promises to the young lad another three year starter at QB. Vandy plays first two games then steps aside for Derby

We don't need a spread offense. We need a change in coaching philosophy and someone who knows how to show his care for the players.
