REPLACEMENTS WHO ARE THEY?

I would like to hear from all of you on your list of candidates that we could bring in. I think we need to bring in someone young and full of pi$$ and vinager on both sides of the ball. and we can keep the steady hand at the top with KF. With derby on the depth chart do we move to more of a spread type of attack. (if you cant beat em join em).

So who is out there? I say we keep norm on as special assistant for the D! (love that guy)

So list your top three realistic OC replacements and list your top three DC replacemnets.

Is Derby at the top of the depth chart for QB? My short answer is you've been watching too much Big XII football.

I think that he will push for time. I would like to see us get back to the style of play when we had brad banks. And yes I have watched too much Big XII football do you blame me with the product we put on the field.........lol. What is your long answer.

lol my long answer is... yes, i think i watched too much big XII football as well and i wish that we'd try to mix things up a little bit- even if it means getting derby time if he earns it as a "change of pace" but i don't have the faith in this staff to have the vision to attempt such a feat. :)

We're putting the cart before the horse. Teams that replace both coordinators are usually desperate and it creates further instability. I think Norm is done after this year. I have heard Darrell Wilson has a very different personal style than Parker and Kirk. I have heard he would be a very good coordinator.

If Kirk hires from outside the program he should bring in a guy with experience as an NFL position coach and a college coordinating experience.

I can see that offense this upcoming season and defense next season.

I know a student trainer, who also had a family member with severe diabities. He knows how people look and thier capabilities when they reach Norm's state. He doesn't think Norm will be there next year. So I do see a problem with dumping KOK this year. But trust me, I'm every bit as upset as everyone else. But a program built on stability can't replace both coordinators in one year. It just can't happen.

They're all coming back and they should. If you fired Kirk, who in their right mind do you think would come here? He is one of the most respected coaches in the country. No one would be jumping at the chance to come to Iowa City after watching Kirk get canned because he lost to Minnesota.

I thought there was some announcement saying Norm intends to coach next year. I'll agree that replacing both coordinators is challenging, but I'm not opposed to change on the offensive end even if that means chaning both due to a Norm retirement- but that's me personally.

Nobody with half a brain wants to fire Kirk. NOBODY. The problem has become play calling stagnation. The style works, Iowa doesn't lose games by two scores. They are in every game. The problem is the play-to-play management. And the 12-15 yard cushion the corners now leave.

not on board with getting rid of KF! But KOK needs to be shown the door. I do not think that norm can physically do this any more he was absent from the team and no question had an impact! I think norm hangs em up and KOK gets shown the door!

my question still is who the hell do we bring in. Who makes sense? Maybe promote from within on D and look outside the program for OC (someone who has a better track record with QB's)

C'mon Cosgrove....Chuck Long! How about coaches with documented with success! KOK needs to be shown the door.

Annoucements about health 9 months away from summer ball means about nothing when you are dealing with a person over the age of 60. It's being possitive, and I hope he can come back and be as effective. His players seem to LOVE and respect him.
