I am mostly on this board to talk X's and O's, Bball and sports strategy, point out what I see as great plays and areas where I think the teams and individuals need to improve (without throwing players under the bus).
I want to remind people how hard the football players are working right now lifting and doing squad and individual drills. These Bball players went on overseas trip and practice all the time.
During the offseason, the lady volleyball, bball, softball and other athletes, gymnastics and swimmers are working out hard.
I have never booed a hawkeye player and I remember when I was about 12 the fans in Kinnick really booing QB Gary Snook and I had to ask my Dad what was going on.
Man, I have made plenty of turnovers, missed shots, dropped balls, struck out many times, etc etc and not even at this high of level. I know they try hard and they know when they fail.
As an example of talking about how a player needs to improve, I have mentioned several times as have others that Uhtoff needs to dribble closer in and shield the ball better because he is getting stripped. It is just an observation of what I think he needs to work on. I have also said how I think Jarrod has really good dribble stop and pop moves, good driving moves once he gets his shoulder past the defender, and a good outside shot, he is a good rebounder and will I mentioned I think he will have a much bigger years the rest of his Iowa career.
Let's stay behind the players and talk x's and o's and strategy rather than being negative.
