Remainder Big Twelve teams' new conference...

Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, Kansas State and Baylor should ask the Big East's Louisville, Cincy, UConn, Pitt, WV to create a Midwest/East Coast conference.

Those 5 Big East programs have BOTH "BCS" level basketball AND football programs. Would be weak football league but strong basketball. Marquette, Providence, Depaul, St. Johns, Georgetown, Seton Hall, Villanova only have basketball at BCS level, football teams are FCS (I-AA).

Notre Dame, Syracuse and Rutgers are in Big Ten, South Florida goes to ACC and Big East goes...BYE, BYE!

I suppose another possibility is an expanded Mountain West:

TCU
BYU
Utah
Kansas
Kansas State
Missouri
Iowa State
Baylor
Air Force
Wyoming
UNLV
San Diego State
New Mexico
Colorado State

Not bad. MWC had 3 Top 20 football teams last season, and adding 5 BCS schools including a basketball flagship like Kansas certainly improves it. However Kansas wouldn't appreciate swimming with minnows in that sport (no offense, Steve Alford).

Only problem with that plan is after the SEC raids the ACC for teams. The ACC is going to raid the leftovers from the big East.

I agree, this is the most likely scenario

If I was one of the Big XII leftovers I would settle for:

Baylor
BYU
Cincy
ISU
Kansas
KSU
Louisville
Memphis
Missouri
TCU
Tulsa
Utah
