I don't know if they have regressed, but with basically no shooters and one ballhandler, there isn't much this team can do to improve. You could have Roy and Coach K on the staff and this team would still finish last in the big ten. Looking at other teams you can see what they have that we don't; mainly scoring options and breakdown guys off the dribble. Cartwright was money in crunch time again and Gatens is trying to diversify his game, but outside of those two, there just aren't many scoring options on this team from the perimeter.
The effort has improved IMO, just not the execution and basketball IQ in certain situations. There are flashes of improvement followed by periods of chaos, especially defensively.

I was just blowing off steam after that 1st half performance...the team rebounded and played a better 2nd half.

You should probably wait until the game is over before you post something regarding a team's performance otherwise you look like a fool.

Eric May played a little better as a freshman. This year, he seems to be uptight, not having much fun, and making foolish unforced turnovers. He is also having problems finishing easy shots and guarding opponents. I think his injury may have slowed him, but there is regression in his performance.
Having said that, every other Hawks player has improved from last year or at least has not regressed.
McCaffery will have them in the top 6 of the Big Ten in the 2012-2013 season, possibly top 4.

I honestly think that could happen next year based off of what the big ten is losing in talent, but as the teams lose it they bring it back in so who knows. This is a fun year I cant wait til next year.
