I hate to keep comparing this to wrestling but I think this is an interesting observation. Gable was an intense emotional coach who turned Iowa into a powerhouse. After he left Iowa brings in a laid back guy by comparison in Zalesky. The result is Iowa falling out of contention. Iowa then brings in Tom Brands and his crazy posse who go crazy during the match and they get a bunch of guys who are willing to run through a wall for him. Players feed off of the coaches emotion.
