Reg. BB best coach

The register ran a poll as to who was the best coach of Big four teams in Iowa. I know polls can some times be stacked by who votes, but but there are sure some strange results. Bucky O'Conner won and he should of. But no way Tom Davis should be #3 ahead of Ralph Miller and Lute. Tom had no final fours or Big Ten championships. Ralph went undefeated in the Big Ten one year and lost in a playoff when only one team could go to the NCAA.

What percentage of voters were around to remember what Miller and Olson did and what percentage followed Hawkeye hoops during the Davis era? May partly explain the results.

While I don't agre with the poll results, I can understand them a little bit. Tom got some votes due to longevity, age of voters, overall wins I'm sure.

Loved him and I consider him a very good coach and an inovater of the game but Ralph Miller and probably Lute belong ahead of him.
