Can you name a single player that played and provided production where we WISHED we would not have played that player?

Me...no. If we need the help, you were recruited to play your part. If it happens that we could have used you an additional year...we have lots of replacement part behind you.

Didn't Drew Tate only played a few snaps in a couple games as a true freshman, all in mop-up duty? It would have been nice to have him around in '07.
 
The only way the staff takes the redshirt off is if they can contribute to the team. If the redshirt comes off, we need them to contribute. If that is on special teams or in certain spots so be it but I have faith in this staff that if they need a player to make plays they will put ANYONE in a heartbeat if they feel it will help us. So I guess the answer to your questions is NO I dont remember anyone........

We are down to two RB's. Rogers will lose his redshirt.

Would have been nice to have Matt Roth on that '05 DL.
 
I believe Tate was the backup qb when he was a true freshman so it wouldn't have been very logical for him to redshirt.
