Well, how in the F did we not win the damn thing?
Stanley. He lacks the intangibles that Thorson, Blough, and even Hornibrook and Martinez have.

There is a long list of NFL quarterbacks, from Jeff George to Jay Cutler who had all the physical tools but never won in the NFL, seldom even made playoffs.

Hopefully he takes the all conference snubs to heart and works on what he lacks in his senior year. His not even getting noticed for honorable mention speaks volumes.

Hon Mention runner up - Big 10 West Coach of the year:
KF

HOF baby. Is a perfect human incapable of error.

OT: I'm liking how the 2020 class if off to a good start
Deuce is an ESPN 300
Michael Lois is a stud but I think his injury should remove him from football but obviously still honor his academic scholarship. That type of classiness always helps in recruiting.
I. Bruce? Don't know much about him. Anyone with info feel free to share your impressions.

NS couldn’t hit an escort at a bachelor party

No mention of the fact that Iowa was sub 70 in the country in Yards Per Rush and Rushing Yards per game...

Pretty obvious teams stacked the box, if a receiver got over the top NS wasn’t connecting anywho. I don’t need to be a Dcoordinator to figure that out I watched Iowa FB the last 2 season.

Iowa has faced stacked boxes every year in the KF era I’m sure. I’m not saying NS is godsend he made plenty of mistakes, but placing the entire blame on him seems silly.

We couldn’t run the ball which is an Iowa staple. We had WRs that struggled mightily creating separation. And sometimes we had an All-American TE watching from the sideline in critical situations. Those aren’t all Nate Stanley problems.

Well, how in the F did we not win the damn thing?

I'm having a fun little debate in one of IowaLaw's threads right now that is tangentially related to your post.
Basically I'm arguing that Iowa has more talent (I include non-starters in that evaluation) than all but 2 of our opponents this season. How many opponents have 3 All-Americans? How many of them have a more loyal fanbase? How many of them had a friendlier schedule? How many of them have better facilities?
Most important, how many have a coach with this on his resume?

Bruce is a heck of an athlete. Plays RB for his high school team.

I'm super excited about Hogan. He ticks all the boxes of stereotypical star QB. Texan, big arm, mobile, great name, and a bit cocky. Cannot wait to get him on campus.

Very valid point, but there's many of us that feel that not only did Jay Cutler have the tools, but feel that Jay Cutler was a tool... At least Nate seems like a likable guy. Cutler not so much.

Didn't Denver draft Von Miller with one of the picks they obtained from Chicago in the Cutler deal?

Thank god these recruits are reading my thread. So far I've helped bring LaPorta and Jeudy on board. I'll keep working for the staff gratis but would appreciate a shout-out from Barta for all my fine work.
