Receivers have shown nice improvement this year

gotta admit, they still have a way to go but, they're catching the ball

And Tevaun's catch was beautiful

Feretnz said they saw M's defense in film, Jake got them in the right play there and Tevaun got it done

He's averaging almost 40 yards/game in the B1G. I think the next leading receiver is barely averaging 20.

He's been by far the most consistent receiver in conference play. I think if we get Bullock back out there (in the slot), we will have some decent options next year.

If Daniels emerges as a legit B10 RB next year I really hope they move Bullock to the slot or at least do something to get him the ball in space. The guy can play, but he's not the "bell cow" RB as Jon likes to say that you need.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I like Bullock in the backfield. He's been running much more decisively (and therefore effectively) with more consistency lately. When he's doing that, he's still not a bell cow, but he's a good option to have. Excellent third down back material, especially considering both his pass catching and blitz pickup abilities.

The intermediate passing game has improved. It seems we have some good routes where two receivers split and we have had a lot of 15-25 yard completions on the sidelines especially.

The new receivers coach must be doing a very good job as T Smith is improving and the route running is looking more crisp.

We do have a tendency to throw more to the sidelines (maybe coaching decisions to not risk the pick over the middle) but if they can develop good intermediate and deep post patterns for next year that would be another good step forward.

I think they need to see if D Powell can go over the middle.

The short passing game seems to be improving.

You'll have to forgive me for being an eternal pessimist. But for every great catch by Powell or Smith, I feel like I see MM drop on an easy catch.

I thought WRs had a good game. It was nice to see some YAC. I also thought the oline did a great job wit pass protection.

Next week will be a tougher test... Neb has better secondary and a better pass rusher.

I agree with this. Plus, I really think canzeri has proven he needs to be on the field in some capacity next year with his couple of nice YACs today. Tevaun Smith is probably our next Mcnutt,DJK, Mo Brown guy it appears.

I agree, the WRs have made steady progress through the year. No drops that I can remember yesterday which is remarkable given the wind and cold. Michigan had several drops which is going to happen when it's that cold and the ball is slick. Our offense could be really good next year with the number of people we have back.

HawkeyeGameFilm had a few tweets yesterday that Bullock was pretty bad about missing the holes and cutbacks yesterday. i just don't think it's his best position. i'm of the opinion that he could be much more successful in the slot, and can even run a bit out of that position.

and to the main point. yes, Smith has stepped up and has the tools to be a #1 receiver, with KMM and Powell out there too, that's a good WR corps. next year could be much, much, much better.

Not a WR but we didn't see duzey get involved in the passing game at all yesterday.

No biggie since CJF stepped up on senior day, just an observation.

Yes they have improved as the year went along. I think we got us a WR coach. Be interesting to see what he does with all the guys that RS this year

Couldn't agree more! Bullock can help this team, but not at RB. As we saw with his TD in the MSU game, he's at his best when he gets the ball on the edges.

No Duzey, no Kittle, no Hamilton. Those guys can all contribute, would be nice to get them the ball.

Great win!
