Really poor bball IQ

I agree. But overall, this year I think that is a strength of this team. I think they at smart most of the time. Last night, not so much. I do think we are a better team than msu.

Thanks for bringing some fresh and measured observations to this mostly worthless thread.

Gessel, Clemons and Woodbury are FRESHMAN... I repeat FRESHMAN, they will make mistakes.

White and Josh are 2nd year players and still make some mistakes.

Dev didn't play. Iowa was a couple of plays from winning and 3 or 5 from learning how to blow out a 22nd ranked opponnet.

Iowa is this close to 2-1 to start the B1G TEN.. albiet 0-3 to 2 top 5 teams and Michigan State.

Is anyone watching this team develop and grow and play some ball? Waaaay to much pointless criticism and dissing of some great kids who are working their ***** off.

IOWA is BACK

Iowa is a young team that has to learn how to finish games. Having Marble out did help maters either. Too many turnovers and missed FT. All they can do is keep playing and learn from their mistakes. Probably should be 2-1 but a lot of young blood on the team.

Should be? We are what we are. You think we played up to Indiana or did they at times play down? MSU didn't shoot well, even on open shots. They "probably" should have won by more.

HamburgersAreYummy?!? My gawd, either all the user names have been taken or you are a grade school simpleton.

Doubtful that they're even better fans than half the conference.

Indiana? Michigan? Michigan State? Illinois? to name four? Plus, if those fans weren't there in the lean years when you weren't any good (which they weren't), then they weren't the greatest. Just sayin'.

You mean programs who actually WIN? Well, then I guess Duke, Kansas and Kentucky have the greatest fans in the world, too. It's not hard to be a "good fan" when your program makes Final Fours, wins national titles, etc. etc. etc. I'd be curious to see what their arenas would look like if they had to put up with the type of basketball Iowa fans have had to endure the last decade plus.

The fact that Carver was rocking as much as it was last night despite not having even been to an NCAA tournament since 2006 I think says quite a bit about Iowa's fan base. Not that the fans came to the games when Lick was our coach, but what fan base's fans WOULD have shown up for that garbage?

Or "probably" should have lost had Iowa been smarter with the basketball and not let their youth get the best of them. I totally agree with you saying "we are what we are", but when you play the opposite spectrum of the "probably" card your simply playing that same card but from another prospective which ends up defeating your point.

We are 0-3 in conference and have had two very close games against good teams that we lost. The fact is they need to finish games and work on the little things.
