How about we wait until Uthoff has played against a little better competition and has a few more games under his belt before we anoint him as the second coming of Michael Jordan? Hey, I've been impressed with his game, too, but the competition hasn't exactly been stellar. We should know more by next week. I expect him to be up to the challenge.
 






So you are saying that if he plays well this week that he can be considered the second coming of MJ?

He makes a valid point regardless of whether people want to hear if.

I expect JU to be quite good THIS season but the hyperbole surrounding his game might be slightly much at this point. He puts up 20 on Kansas? Might be going to NBA
 




I am aware of the hyperbole surrounding the tournament, almost every Hawk Basketball Fan is. They are excited about watching the TEAM play in the Battle 4 Atlantis against some of the better teams in America. Uthoff appears to be a very good player so far. He is a member of a TEAM of good players. It it merely idiotic to compare him to Michael Jordan.....

A good rule of thumb is to only post when sober.
 




The only thing I've seen is that he seems to be athletic and hits open shots. I'm not sure I have seen over the top with JU. I'm sure they OP probably saw a post or 2 somewhere and decided to start a random thread. Great idea OP, let's start tearing people down even before anybody builds them up too much. That way we can have 0 expectations.
 


I've seen uthoff compared to the rest of the team but hasn't the rest of the team played the same schedule as he has?

Not sure if either of you (OP or LS) are serious. Please, please provide links to this crazy exaggerations of Uthoff's ability. Considering most people in the media expected him to take a while to "shake off the rust", you can't expect people to not get excited. But no one has made it seem like he is the next MJ.
