A couple of key players? Like the returning All B1G QB and an AA OG? Shoot, our OL was a MASH unit of hobbled 1st teamers and inexperienced 2nd teamers, and we were down to our 3rd team QB.
Soft tissue injuries have been hard on NU the past few years. But, it is what it is.
Kind of like Iowa's in 2012? Where Nebraska won 13-7?
It was a real hard choice for me last year choosing which post-game to listen to. I switched back and forth, but wish I had listened to more of the Husker crying.Yah, the wife's side of the family are Husker fans....brutal 2 years ago when we just had to stop in North Platte, NE, when Iowa had them at home....man, did I get an ear full.....Hell, even my wife's cousin (7 years old at the time) called me when we left and not even on I-80 yet and said that Iowa sucks.....Damn them Huskers......
However, last year, listening to the Husker post game....I sweat to God, someone committed Harry Carey on there......I thought the world was coming to an end....priceless.....

I would grade the caliber of writing as barely above second grade but setting that aside for a moment I think it's pretty fair and relatively accurate.
i do find it extremely interesting, and likely quite telling about the level of angst in Huskerville, that their online "poll" accompanying the piece is relatively even -- a combined 52 percent seeing a Fusker victory over Iowa and 48 percent seeing a win by the good guys. An open, non-scientific survey on a site like that should be heavily weighted in favor of the homers. This one ain't. STLOLOLOLOLOLOL.
