Ranking the B10 QBs

There is clear bias on that page, I could see that right away. That is the reason why they have Iowa way too low on the list.

LOL, other than Cardale Jones, I could throw darts at the wall and be as accurate. Complete crapshoot at this point.

Where would you put Beathard? I honestly can't say he's played enough or shown enough to put him much higher if at all. I think they are taking into account the style of play/teamates they are working with too. Maybe he'll end up higher then that at the end of the season. But without having seen him do it for more then a play or two here and there I'm not willing to put him above two year starters at the position some of the other schools on there have...

I would say that he will be better than those other guys on the list.

All of them???? Your delusional if you think that.... Sorry I asked. I'd ask you what you base that on but you'll probably say cause of the one pretty throw he made to Powell that didn't count...

The throw to Ray Hamilton may have been better. The TD throw to Vandeberg was a great one too. I like both his throwing ability and his running ability. He has always ran the football well.

I'll give a few examples, those being the 3 guys in front of him on the list. 2 are bad passers that depended on their teams running games. This year I think those runners were drafted so the QBs will struggle more. The third guy people on this forum were writing often about how much better CJB was. So there is at least good reason to move him ahead of those guys.

I agree those were great plays... But he's also made bad throws. He's had dumb INTs and I've seen him over throw guys on the simple bubble screens.. He's not like Cardale Jones in that in the short time he's played he's set the world on fire. He's not as big strong armed or athletic as he is not to mention had half the success. CJ has shown good and bad. His completion percentage isn't that great at all. Which when you put it all together makes him unpredictable quite frankly at this point. So putting him around 9th or 10th is about right... Now I'm not rooting for that. I hope he does set the world on fire to start the season. But unless the play calling and execution in both the running game and passing (new tackles getting acclimated) really opens up I'm afraid it won't be a whole lot different then last yr... Cause to do that they need to improve on it not stay the same...

I wouldn't expect a grade any better than that. Not a knock on CJ, it's just that not many sports writers have had a chance to see JC like the Hawk fans have. I am pretty sure fans would grade him a spot or two higher with even higher potential.

Obviously the writer of that story hasn't been by the HN boards; otherwise he would have ranked him at 1, 2, AND 3, with everyone else a distant 4th.
