Rank WRs in the Big 10 for potential at the next level

These are completely based on the eye test. I haven't analyzed numbers nor do I watch all these guys on a regular basis.

1) BJ Cunningham
Has the ability to be a #2, possibly #1 WR for an NFL team someday.

2) Marvin McNutt
I don't know if he's got the potential as a #1 option but he could be a 1a type guy to some team, mainly working as a deep threat and touchdown guy

3) AJ Jenkins
Could see him as a #2 WR or a slot guy at the next level

4) Jeremy Ebert
Reminds me of Jordy Nelson. Tall lanky guy, but just a burner. Could be - like Nelson - a nice #3 WR

5) Da'Jon McKnight
Guy is just a playmaker. Seems like he could turn into a solid #2 WR for some team

Yes I left Nick Toon off this list. I know he'll get drafted ahead of a lot of these guys but I've just never been terribly impressed with him. Plus I think his last name gets him a lot of additional recognition.

Jenkins - stats are better, but hes much smaller than MM is. I think he could be a #1 option, but 2 for sure.

McNutt - mainly because of his body. He has great size for a wide receiver, but could be a bit faster. He also drops at least 1 easy pass a game. I don't think McNutt becomes a #1 guy though.

Cunningham - I see him as a #2 guy in the NFL, but he could improve past that. Not sure he does.

McKnight - I just think he will be better than Ebert, but not on the same level as the 3 above.

Ebert - same reason as what you said

1. Posey - good size, good speed, but hasn't played in a year, was OSU's #1 WR as a SO & JR, that's saying something

2. Belcher - hasn't played much this year but has terrific size at 6'5

3. Jenkins - probably the best WR in the conference right now

4. Cunningham - good size, speed, and playmaking ability

5. McNutt - great size, good hands, terrific athlete

Maybe we're seeing Ebert a little different but I belive he's only about 6'0, I see as a slot guy not an outside threat like Nelson who is 6'3

I like Toon, just not as much as the top 5

Nick Toon (wisky) is the highest rated big ten WR NFL prospect per scout.com

McNutt is too slow to be a #1 guy on the next level. could potentially be a decent role player somewhere down the line

McNutt probably doesn't have much room left to grow. He could be a great #2 guy as a possession receiver, provided that the #1 is a guy who will stretch the field with speed.
