Based on who you think will go farther in the tournament give me your rankings for the top 5 teams in the Big Ten

I will go with:

1) Michigan State
2) Ohio State
3) Purdue
4) Wisky
5) Illinois (out in 1st round)

The top 3 was really a tough call for me. If Lucas is healthy i think MSU will be a tough out. OSU could go out early or make the elite 8 depending on how they shoot.

Just based on how they're playing right now...

1. Ohio State (really seem to be hitting their stride at the right time)
2. Purdue (righted the ship after that 3 game losing streak and seem to know their rolls)
3. Michigan State (I think they'll be ok now that Lucas is back, barring any tweeking of the ankle)
4. Wisconsin (solid everywhere, not great anywhere, outside of Trevon Hughes)
5. Illinois (looked to be ahead of Wisky on this list til today's pantsing by Ohio State IN Champaign)

I like your rankings. We will find out about OSU soon. They are at home against Purdue then at Michigan State next week.

Valid disclaimer. Also, if and when Leuer comes back for Wisconsin, we will see if he will take some time to get back in the flow. He could make some difference as well.

I like this ranking. MSU always seems to a be a big 10 team that can play a faster pace with teams from other conferences or slow it down and play a more physical game with the big 10 teams.

Ohio state has Turner which gives them the edge over the other teams as I don't see Purdue or Wisky having a guy that can take a game over like Turner.

1.) Purdue
2.) Ohio State
3.) Michigan State
4.) Sconnies
5.) Illinois

I am just not a believer in MSU, they struggle to score way to much. I guess the same could be said about Purdue, but I feel like Hummel will pick things up when he needs to.

OSU has one of the best players in college on their roster, but I worry about their lack of depth somewhat.

Wisconsin is always a tough tourney team, especially if Leuer is back in time.

Illinois seems like a first round out to me.

If going by how far we think they will go in the NCAA's:

1)Wisconsin (sweet 16)
1)Purdue (sweet 16)
1)Michigan State (sweet 16)
4)Ohio State (2nd Round)
5)Illinois (1st Round)

I probably don't watch enough college basketball over the last few years. I will say this...I really like the way Purdue plays basketball...especially on the defensive end.

I always like Mr. Davis's full court press...if you could combine that with the pressure defense that Purdue plays in the half court...you'd have a team that teams dread playing. I have a feeling if Dan Gable had been born a basketball player (he'd probably beat me up if he heard me say that) he would run a full court press with Purdue style pressure defense and his guys would be in such good shape they'd dominate.

1.) Purdue
2.) Michigan State - Izzo is the man
3.) Ohio St
4.) Wisconsin
5.) everybody else is 2nd class
