I could still see McCabe being moved a spot (maybe two, if we're talking about impact over the course of the season to date), but other than that, I think this is spot on.

7- Olaseni
8- Woodbury

IPA - You have a love affair with JO, and I don't feel he adds much value to the lineup. How can two people with a pretty good handle on hoops have almost polar opposite views of a player? What do you see in his game that I overlook?

I usually agree with you, but Gesell is a very important piece to the team. We are the best with Gesell at the 1 and Marble at the 2. Gesell runs the offense, plays solid D, high Assist to TO ratio, and can score. We are better with Marble off the ball. Clemmons is only a soph and will be better in the future, but it is clear that he can't run the O like Gesell. I'm ok with Basabe 3, and I like Ogelesby, but Gesell over Oges for sure.

Not saying you do this but I see JO as much more than just a 3 point shooter and think he brings a lot more to the team than just being able to go off from 3.

He gets a pretty bad rap on this board and from a lot of Hawk fans I know because of how he shot it last year. Its fair criticism but that was last year.

He is just a solid player, not just a shooter.

I think it was you in a different thread who made a negative comment about the offensive movement when JO is in the game. How is that Oglesby's fault? If he is working that hard and busting has *** to get open and cant then the defense is helping off the guys who are screening and it should be on them to find open space.

Its like when Oglesby is in the game and the offense stalls its automaticlly is his fault because of the reputation he has as a lights out shooter.

1 - Marble
2 - White
3 - Gesell
4 - Woodbury
5 - Basabe
6 - Oglesby
7 - Utoff
8 - Olaseni
9 - McCabe
10 - Clemmons

I rate Basabe lower (and maybe could rate White lower) is because they tend to disappear. I rate Woody higher because he's important in the offensive and defensive schemes, even though he doesn't rack up a lot of statistics (even though his stats have risen since conference play started).

EDIT: And anyone who rates Olaseni above Woodbury isn't watching the same games I've been watching.

1 - Marble/White
3 - Basabe
4 - Woodbury/Olaseni (need all 10 fouls)
6 - Gesell
7 - Oglesby
8 - Uthoff
9 - McCabe
10 - Clemmons
11 - Jok

This is not to diminish Clemmons or Jok. This team is so deep. Take any two guys out of the 1-9 list and both Clemmons and Jok would be playing and contributing...no doubt in my mind.

1- Marble
2- White
3- Gesell
4- Basabe
6- Olaseni
7- Woodbury
8- Uthoff
9- McCabe
10- Clemmons
11- Ogles3

1. Marble - No brainer.
2. Gesell - Runs the show and has become a pretty darn good defender.
3. White - Still needs to develop a consistent jumper.
4. Woodbury - Defensive anchor, offense is there when given space in the post.
5. Basabe - Playing like a senior should.
6. Oglesby - Has much quicker feet on defense than people give him credit for.
7. Olaseni - Has made great hustle plays but is still out of position too much on defense.
8. Uthoff - Plays very well at times but still makes freshman mistakes as is expected.
9. McCabe - Plays great when the moment isn't too big for him.
10. Clemmons - Not getting much time to get in the flow of the game, will be needed sometime down the stretch.
11. Jok - Simply isn't ready yet, reminds me of Marble as a frosh, slow feet on defense.

Are you related to JO?

I could not have done it any better.
