1) What happened to Wadley in the WR slot? Whey are they not getting him in space? Why run him inside the tackles so much when could try to get him in space? Why wasn't Young running more in between the tackles?
2) Why not try a wheel route down the sideline to Wadley or another running back? Don't you think getting one of our RB's on a LB could be an advantageous play?
3) OK, I'm about done with lateral passes to the hash. The risk reward is not there and the defender usually is just there waiting to tackle the player after the catch anyway. If I'm going to risk a pass, throw it downfield EVEN THOUGH FOR MINIMAL YARDS, such as a middle screen or such. Yes, you can have a couple such as a bubble screen or another screen pass but don't make throwing out to the hash a major part of your passing game.
What is more difficult for a defender, covering a WR coming at you downfield and breaking off a route or the defender sitting on an out route with the ability to read and defend a player up the field in front of you? Just sayin'. NFL QB's usually throw downfield instead of to the outside most the time. There is a reason for that. If going to take that risk, throw it downfield.
