Ran into Cyrus K today

He was walking into a suit/tuxedo shop on L street in DC. Completely lost all composure and pride and blurted out 'Cyrus' as he walked by. He was extremely soft spoken and polite. I told him he should have gone to Iowa but that who could blame him for choosing bama. His response was "it was eleven degrees when I was in Iowa" but he was smiling. I said that's a fair point and shook his hand. My wife is completely embarrassed that her 35 year old husband talks (recognizes/stalks) to high schoolers. Also difficult to argue with.

how big did he look while standing next to him?

i'm sure he is a good kid.

guess the whole cold thing did matter, given that is what he said to you.

Haha...at least it happened right before Valentine's Day so you'll be able to make it up to her QUICKLY! Seriously though, how big did he look to you, in person? I'm guessing "grizzly bear"!?!?

When he walked out of the store, did he get on a moped by chance? ...I feel sorry for the SEC if he did. Kid is a beast.

He's every bit of 6'6, but not otherwise huge. Not skinny, just looks like a big high school kid. Of course it's been freezing out here lately, but it is warm by early March - that's the difference from the Midwest.

It was a good reminder that these really are just kids when they are being recruited.

Now there's some depth for ya. It's 11 degrees. Hey kid! you grew up in DC...it snows there too.

What eva. He got what he wants. High temps....and low IQs. Who can blame him.

He could be stuck in Buffalo or Cleveland in 3 or 4 years...I'll forgive him for picking a warm weather destination for college...even if it is Dipshitsville, Alabama...

I don't know how long you have lived out here, but the DC area had 18 inches of snow in a 24-hour period the LAST weekend in March back in the 90s. Yes, it's not Iowa weather, but to say it's 'warm' in early March is a major stretch. I have lived here for 20 years and it definitely still snows frequently in March here.

And, it was only about 10 degrees warmer in DC when Cyrus was on his official in Iowa. He just didn't want to be a Hawk. It happens, especially when your other choices are top 10 teams and one team has your brother on it and the other just won the national championship, and albeit, in warmer climates.
