Raequan Williams to commit to MSU

That's ok. I'm sure there are some class 2A Iowa boys who are holding out from an offer from Iowa so that they don't end up at Loras. This staff is better suited for landing those guys.

Not trying to be Mr. Negativity, but based on recent success why would I be surprised that someone would choose MSU over Iowa. We act shocked, but what do we currently have going for us that they don't? I'd be shocked and disappointed if we lost him (or someone else) to a MAC school or smaller conference. I think the shock would come if he actually selected us over MSU at this point in recent history.

Did not want. He would just complain about not seeing the field early enough. We want someone who would be patient and sit behind those 2 star guys who worked hard for 3 or 4 years.

What I'm shocked at is how many people think that a school's football success is what determines the recruits. If that were truly the case, then how would ANY school ever change their football record?

Also, doesn't anyone here think that academic offerings and specialties by the universities offering the scholarship play into the recruit's decision? I'm certain the main reason we get a recruit like Jake Rudock is the fact that the University Hospital is one of the best teaching and pediatric hospitals in the nation. Yeah, sometimes a recruit's desired degree is available at any school, but some are more desirable than others. Some schools have a proven record in their academic programs, and a lot of times it's that record rather than the football record that sways a recruit (more importantly sways the parent(s)).

Isn't Michigan State considered the worst academic school in the B1G (aside from Nebraska)??

(I ask that fully knowing Iowa isn't much better and that overall B1G academics are high across the board.. no member is a bad school)
