Iowa released it's 2013-2014 basketball schedule today and I dare say it is the most talked about Iowa hoops schedule in nearly a decade.
Eight of Iowa's 18 Big Ten games will be televised on an ESPN Network, including six on either ESPN or ESPN2. Additionally, the Hawkeyes will have at least one CBS appearance (at Ohio State on Jan. 12). The Big Ten Network’s television schedule will be released at a later date, but that is half of Iowa's slate not on the BTN, which has doubled as the Iowa Basketball Network in recent years.
The World Wide Leader thinks the Hawks are back, and we know three of Iowa's games will be on Super Tuesday ESPN telecasts.
Here is a very, very quick stab at picking Iowa's record, with expected wins in bold. I reserve the right to change this before the start of the season, but this is what stuck out to me with some comments below.

That's 11-2 in the non-conference (there is still a game to be added, but a cupcake) and 10-8 in the Big Ten. There is certainly room in the Big Ten schedule for a win or two. Such as sweeping Penn State and Illinois. I think PSU is going to be salty this year and Iowa has won once or twice in Champaign since 1987. I have Iowa losing at Iowa State and going 2-1 in Atlantis.
With the type of RPI Iowa will have, I think a 21-10 record would lead to a six seed in the NCAA tournament. Adding two to three more wins in this slate is hardly impossible and if Iowa got to 24-7, you're looking at a four-seed at worst if not a three.
