He's not listed on the roster. When did he leave?
Somehow my head was in the sand on this one ...

I just read some grumblings about it on TOS within the last couple days. Sounds like Donovan Johnson is also rumored to be moving on.
That is a big hit to our D-line depth. Any chance we throw a late offer to Jared Ebert?
Ebert already signed with Oregon.
"Verballed" to Oregon? Nobody, other than jucos, "signs" until Feb. 2.
As KF likes to say, "Until then, we're just holdin' hands."

Your recall is completely false.

I don't care what the reasoning for not offering was, this staff really f**d up with Ebert.
Sorry ... I still disagree.
Iowa is not going to be loaded with ships for the 2012 recruiting class. It would be nice to still have some available ships for that class.
Besides, I still like our DL personnel for the 2011 season.
Lastly, without the benefit of a spring camp ... what good could Ebert have done just learning our system? He'd be a backup who'd likely be lucky to be among our 3rd stringers.
The point of going after JUCOs is to have a guy who can still make a pretty instant impact on the squad. There's no guarantee that Ebert would have been such a guy
