Question on Games

is it possible playing a game every 3 days is having an effect on coaching
as there is very little time between games to work on correcting mistakes?

Not sure where u are going with this... its just the nature of the beast that is college bball. A new game every few days is also an opportunity to put the last game behind you and show the progress a team has made or corrections/adjustments the team has made.

It should not be a problem. Every season has the same general schedule. You don't have an entire week to prep for a game like you do in football.

I think this is interesting. I understand its the way college basketball is, but if Iowa wanted to, could they schedule fewer non conference games in order to get more teaching in? I know it will never happen due to revenue and recruiting, but wondered if that would even be an option based on ncaa rules.

I fail to understand what any of the posters think would improve if we played fewer games and practiced more. The players are told what to do during practice, then the performance of what they were supposed to learn is evaluated during games. You need both.

Every team has similar schedule, but this is a new excuse for why the team is where it is. Maybe it's the uniforms or allergies.

The uniforms play a huge role... if you look good you feel good and will play with that confidence.

The crowds are now small enough that we could play the games on the new practice floor. That should help the team feel more comfortable.
