I seem to remember they had a key player injured. Is that correct? Or did they have their full team yesterday?
Looks like Iowa caught a break against PSU with Babb out. He was their second leading scorer (9 pts/game) on the team and shoots a lot of 3's. PSU also did not have anyone experienced to replace Babb from the outside from the looks of their lineup. But injuries are part of the game.
So Iowa played PSU at an opportune time. Maybe Iowa needed a little luck for a change. They needed a win.
I enjoyed the game although I don't think we ran any fast breaks, which is still disappointng for me. I was just trying to put the game into a little better persepective about whether PSU had their full team when we played them or whether they were a little shorthanded.
You might say, "Well, Iowa is shorthanded," but that is because of recruiting and other factors, not injuries. Injuries are a different story in my book.
Penn St. was a great win for this team. It will give the guys a bit of confidence going into the rest of the season.
It's too bad the next game has to be MSU on the road!!!
Don't be such a Debbie Downer.
So it's been 17 years since Iowa has won up there.
So Iowa is 0-14 since 1993 up in East Lansing.
So this is one of the worst team to head up to EL in that time span.
So this MSU team is ranked in the Top 10.
Oh, wait... what was I saying???
This would likely be one of the biggest upsets of all-time for Iowa BB.
