Purdue

They were so unprepared for Purdue's offense, it was embarrassing. They were out of position so much in both the passing and the run game. After what we did to them last year...I have no idea how Schiano keeps his job. That was coaching tonight. They were terrible...and they have athletes that can run in space.

Definitely looked that way. Maybe they think they're so talented that they can just line up and beat people. But against a coach like Brohm and that QB and #4 it's not going to happen.

And you have to give Purdue credit too. They are a very physical team on both sides of the ball and they have a D that tackles very well.

You were one of the people buying Purdue back in August. I remember your post. So was I. I had to eat crow for a while. In fact I might as well wore a paper bag over my head. Now they look like the physical team I thought they would be all along.

Yeah I had to eat crow for awhile too. To be perfectly honest, I'd much rather go back to eating crow watching Purdue lose to the likes of Eastern Michigan. But here we are. Oh well, Iowa will get their shot at them. 4 will be a hand full but I think Iowa will be a lot more ready for them this time around than last fall.

tOSU’s safeties played terrible. They couldn’t tackle, never had the defense’s back, and wandered routinely out of position. As long as Kirk is around, our safeties will never play that bad. tOSU got gashed by runs every time their LBs got out of position.

If any Purdue fans read this, I’m going to prepare you for the cruel media. All Iowa fans heard for the last three weeks of the season was how tOSU didn’t belong in the playoffs because they lost to a bad Iowa team. If the press turns on you, don’t beleive them. Heck of a win today. I guarantee Purdue has Wisconsin and Iowa’s attention.

Let's just see what happens when they play an actual physical team. Purdue is good I will give them that, but they are untested against true strength of body and will. We have 2 revenge games in a row and on the road. I hope the boys are foaming at the mouth. The lights are getting bright now.

Either way, this game doesn’t make me anymore worried about Purdue than I already was.

This was going to be a tough game anyway. I look at it as an opportunity. The rest of the country got a look at how good Purdue has become. These are the kind of games I like. I hate the crap games (like Iowa State) that everyone expects you to win.

I’ve been worried about Purdue since before the season started. Had it penciled in as one of Iowa’s losses. Either they or Wisconsin is going to represent the West in the Big 10 championship game, and right now my money is on Purdue.

so its gonna be Bama, Clemson, N Dame and LSU....Yuck! But, in 2 weeks AL plays at LSU, so one will be knocked out and OSU will be right back in, This system sucks, it;s rigged
You spelled Iowa wrong.

But I do think as long as the eventual big10 champ finishes with only 1 loss then they will be in over a 2nd SEC team easily unless Bama loses to LSU

I respect Brohm and Purdue but make no mistake, I really like our team right now. I fear no one. If we go into Happy Valley and win it is going to really start feeling like 2002, when we got better every week, had a balanced offense, and depth. 2018 Penn State would correlate with 2002 Michigan if this happens.

We have a bit of a score to settle with Purdue as well ourselves. Losing to them late last year was a big reason why we had to play our bowl game on an ice skating rink. I guarantee our players and coaches haven't forgotten 2017 Purdue. They haven't forgotten losing to Penn State on the final play, or McSorley's antics, either.

Purdue is very good but I can't help but think it had a lot to do with OSU being awful. This Purdue team has some very talented players and I enjoyed them embarrassing OSU. They better hope Blough doesn't get hurt because that guy is good. Not looking forward to playing them especially in their house. Now we'll see if they can put great games back to back. Congrats Purdue!

Now we know. Purdue is a real threat in the West. Iowa has Penn State this week. Which is going to be a tough game. I think Iowa can win in Happy Valley. But Purdue is going to be a real test. They are playing to win in all phases of the game.

Brohm is just an amazing coach. On TOS, after the '14 season, I was pushing for a regime change and lobbying for Brohm (at Western Kentucky at the time). He's an offensive genius.

Rondale Moore is downright scary. He may the best player in the conference, regardless of position.

Heading into the season, I had us pegged at 8-4, with losses to Wisc, PSU, Purdue and IU. We easily took out IU, and should have beat Wisc. Hopefully, we can pull it out against PSU and Purdue.
