Purdue & the "Rivalry"

Dont know if this has been stated but what does everyone think about todays upset impacting our so called rivalry we have brewing?

I guess I wasn't aware that Purdue was some heated rival of ours.. So not sure where all this Iowa/Purdue rivalry stuff is coming from. Is there some incident I'm not aware of?

Ok, that explains it. Guess I should hate Purdue then!!!

In reality, I view Illinois as far more of a rival, or maybe even NW for that matter - considering the way the past decade has gone against those guys. Both in BB and FB.

Purdue is Iowa's protected cross division rival in football.

I could give 2 shiaats about Purdue. I'd much rather beat Minnesota, or Wisconsin, or Illinois.
And next year, Nebraska.

This is true. But we're the bridesmaid rival for all the teams that we consider our big rivals.
