Purdue just got a lot better for next year.

I know it's not good for the Hawks (as if we would be competing for a Big Ten title next season anyway), but I do like seeing the kids fulfill their 4 year committments.

Kramer was the leader and that can't be replaced. But they can fill his spot with a player of better talent to offset that loss.

With those guys coming back next year you have to put Purdue as the favorites in the Big 10. Big 10 looks to be one of the top 2 conferences next year. Purdue, Mich St, Ohio St will all be tough

Purdue can have all the talent in the world but I'm having a hard time picturing Painter coaching a national champion.

Glad they are coming back. Its good for the league and its not like we were going to compete for a champoinship next year anyway.

Purdue really started getting some of their young guys a lot of experience late in the year when Hummel went down. Barlow was very impressive all year, Bade came on late. They have some nice recruits coming in next year also. That walkon frosh guard ripped it up a couple of games.Byrd played well late. Look at their rotation:
Hummel,Moore,Johnson,Bade,Barlow,Byrd,Jackson...and then that frosh walkon pg.
Add to that Anthony Johnson, among other recruits...Purdue is co-favorites with OSU and MSU...what nu?

Purdue will likely start the season ranked #2 in the nation behind Duke. MSU will probably be #3. Big 10 will be very tough next year.
