Purdue Favored

I think the game will come down to which team doesn't do a fake punt with a backup QB running the ball on 4th and 10 from midfield with 40 seconds left before halftime.

That play, in and of itself, wasn't what pissed me off. it was the fact Stanley was in there, as if he would be some kind of "decoy" that would miraculously a) get the receivers open, because 2) he would be a "threat" to run with the ball.

The early money coming in on PU. Boilers now a 3-point favorite.

They don't look at whether Stanley struggled or he is injured. They look at analytics. The analytics show this game as basically a toss up on a neutral field. Purdue's offense is a top ten offense in the country and by far the best offense Iowa has faced this year. Their defense is average to slightly above average in efficiency. A little better than Minnesota's but a little worse than Marylands

I like that guy. And he’s right, Iowa is better than Michigan State
I agree with him too. It's just a weird thing to see said by a HC. Is it more pandering to Iowa since we are next or is it an intentional jab at MSU who just beat them. I didn't see or hear the context in which he said it and that can mean a lot too..

And the opponent's starting QB headed to the locker room. Don't forget that lil nugget

Incorrect. This game really boils down to which QB can throw a ten yard pass without bouncing it and also which QB can hit a wide open receiver with no one within 25 yards of him. I'm not sure this bodes well for us. I'm still shaking my head over what I saw against Penn State. Did that happen or was I dreaming?

Each morning I've woken up since then, I have hoped that game was just a bad dream, only to find out it wasn't.

He wasn't "some kind of decoy". One of the replays showed he actually took a couple of steps back on the snap and waved his hands as though it would be a backwards pass to him initially - who knows what was going on downfield for a possible second pass. Just not sure what the entire play was going to be - there hasn't been an "eagle's eye" view of that replay that I've been able to find.
