Similar to stanzi though they were better because stanzi didn't throw the ball as much with the battle to start the yr. if stanzi threw as much as rudock had stanzi and rudock would have had very similar stats with stanzi coming out just on top.

Rudock also has/had the benefit of starting 4 more games than Stanzi did.
This is wrong...rudock played in 13 games and started all of them. Stanzi played in 13 games and started 11 of them.
rudcok didn't have the weapons stanzi did around him but still put up impressive numbers for a sophomore. Not sure why so many want cj when rudock has proven so much. If he doesn't get better than yea he could be replaced but if he continues to develop he could end up being similar to stanzi...and that is pretty good.
This probably is why stanzi had the better yards per pass. Not to mention more of a downfield passing system.

nothing new, can Jake or more importantly Greg Davis take advantage of the opportunities given to them? those deep seam routes will be there, opportunities to push the ball down the field will be there. Barring injuries, iowa will be able to run the football, which sets up everything, the PA, the waggle, everything. it is those 2nd and 5(s), and 3rd and 4(s) that will determine Jake's success or failure.

No kidding. You have to factor Shonn Greene into any of these discussions. Teams prepared for our running game...Stanzi was an after thought. If Rudock had Shonn Greene running behind him instead of Mark Weisman, his job would have been much, much easier because the safeties would have been playing 5 yards shallower.
Is it me or has Rudock filled out...he looked different to me on the BTN broadcast. Not that I was looking that closely if you know what I mean. I realize this thread isn't "Pulling on Jake".

Lol. Yeah I thought the same thing about Jake getting bigger...... not that there's anything wrong with that
Probably just more muscular...I think he was listed at 205 last yr and I saw he was listed at 208 this yr.
