Proof that Big Ten Refs Suck - DeShawn Sims Quote

This is interesting.... Isn't a foul suppossed to be a foul, no matter the end result??

This happens in the NBA all the time. The refs wait to see if the shot falls or not before they blow their whistle.

Anytime Valentine and Hightower team up it will be bad news for the Hawks...they don't like the Hawks' "colors"...or lack thereof. This needs to be investigated and clearly shows bias.

If one of the refs really said that to Sims--and it was, in fact, a foul that wasn't called--that ref should be done in this league.

If only it could be The Drama Queen. :)

That is unbelievable. 90% chance it was Hightower.

It should be investiagated. It won't be.

There wasn't a foul: 95% chance it was Hightower.

Big10/NCAA will say it's nothing.

If he missed the shot and a foul was called and a referee calls both players in for a conference: 100% certainty it is Hightower.

Can you imagine the backlash is they called a foul - the tape shows no contact by Fuller. It would have blown up the Internet... at least our side of the Internet.

There was no foul. Therefore, it had to be Hightower.

I wrote some more previously but it got sent to the vice-principal's office for grammar check so I better not rehash it or it'll be sent to the principal's office.

Spank, that is simply not true. Fuller clearly hit the shooter's hand after the shot. That is a foul. It's a great way to screw up the follow through, though unfortunately it was too late to have that effect in this case. Still a foul by the book, though.

I sure didn't see it that way the multiple times I viewed it. I did see Sims walk before he got the shot off... and the moving screen.

Still, it matter because of what Sims said. If he didn't make it, there would have been a fouled called. WTF is that?

I thought Fuller hit Smis on the hand on the 3 replays I showed.

Watch the moving pick and hold Lucas-Perry puts on Fuller to clear out space for Sims to take the shot. That's where the foul occurred and the shot should not have been allowed.

Sorry, Spank, my tape showed Fuller's hand clearly contacting Sims's palm then wrist, after the shot to be sure. And if you want to watch tape, especially in slow motion, you can re-call fouls, penalties, etc. for a entire game and let a Michigan fan do the same, and you'd come out with totally different results. Fandom and objectivity do not mesh.

Ah good ole Storminspank starting another thread complaining about officials or how the team got screwed. How many is that this week?

Fuller hit is hand. Clear as day, but it was a good no call IMO. It was after the shot and didn't effect it. Plus you got to let the guys play inside 20 seconds
