Preview, Predictions: Hawkeyes Seek Redemption at NCAA Championships



If Lee pulls it out tonight, he deserves the most dominant wrester award, but I'd bet money that it ends up going to Retherford as the media darling (Not that Retherford doesn't deserve it because he is a machine, but Lee has been more dominant this tourney).

It will probably come down to who is more dominant in their respective title matches, if both win. That favors Retherford, since Suriano essentially never gives up bonus points.
 














Great job wrestling by Sam Stoll. Too bad for Kemerer’s arm injury or Iowa’s margin over Michigan would be even greater. That unsportsmanlike call against Stoll was complete non sense too. It looked like he was just throwing the braclets down, and not intentionally at his opponent. Anyways Iowa has 3rd locked up with Lee yet to wrestle tonight for a championship!

Just a great, great job by Spencer. His future is off the charts bright.

Next year should look better with Murin, Lugo and Warner stepping in, and returning Lee, Kemerer and Marinelli. I'm also high on Nelson Brands. I'm guessing he'll redshirt, but he is a machine like his dad ... only bigger.

To compete with PSU and OSU, though, we will need some of the other guys to make some major strides this off-season.
