Preview, Prediction: Iowa-Purdue

Purdue should have tried an onside kick.

Most never work anymore but our percentages of recovering them in the Kirk era have got to be among the worst in college football.
That decision was the ultimate insult.
Purdue felt their chances of winning were better by giving the ball to our offense than going for an onside kick.

It seems like your original attack on Iowa's win didn't bear fruit, because was ridiculous but at least capable of being proven statistically true.

Your second myth based attack is even sillier than the worst. Only 119 seconds and no time outs. About a 6% chance of recovering an onside kick (there was apparently been a rule change for the '22 season that made recoveries much less likely)

You are working extra hard to denigrate the win. Me, I'm happy with wins. Wish they were better looking on offense to be sure. I'm not sure working that hard just to create negative thoughts would not be good for one's health. Stress kills people so don't work to create, especially based on silly or mythological expectations.

I have no idea what myths you are referring to.
My post was about the lack of an onside kick.
