I just happened to read that same story and was going to post it. A lot of Iowa ties in that ND program now, former Hawkeye Bill Ennis-Inge was also on Kelly's staff at Cincinnatti.
If you watch the videos of Doyle on the HawkeyeSports he is the exact opposite of Longo: "And no barking by Longo...The Professor raises his voice only to be heard, never to motivate or berate...Other than blowing his whistle and calling out time intervals, Longo doesn't do much talking and does almost no exhorting
