Premature, but, W. Mich thread....

Why so early with this? Can't we all just enjoy hate week, as our forefathers had intended?

After playing NW next week, then getting Iowa...I'm pretty confident most of the WMU players are going to think the game has finally slowed down for them. That being said, consider how bad MSU's offense must be. Nicholls put up 27 offensive points, whereby MSU could only do seven. Can MSU be that bad on offense? Holy crap, that's pretty awful. Convention wisdom, force the knucklehead playing QB to beat you with his arm. If we can score 10 on their D...we win.

I think the problem is we are scheduling too many teams who consider us their Super Bowl. ISU and the MAC teams all consider us their Super Bowl. We need to schedule teams from other parts of the country so we don't have to deal with guys who are mad that they got snubbed by a powerhouse program like ours and so they want payback.

The one good thing about WMU this year is that they fired Cubit, who was the coach when they pantsed us in 2007. Of course Ferentz prolly didn't even consider hiring him as our OC and he moved to that position at Illinois. My Illini buddy is giddy right now after Illinois put up a huge game against Cincy yesterday. He proudly proclaimed that he isn't convinced that Illinois is the worst program in the Big Ten anymore, as he thinks Illinois is better than Purdue and may even be better than Iowa and Minnesota.

Michigan State's offense is that bad. Their defense scored two TD's for the win. And they didn't look that much better this week. Defense saved them again.

I call BS. No one has Illini buddies.

Close Game Kirk. No matter how bad the team they are playing is or how good Iowa is, CGK will play for the 4th qtr. He even said something in regards to "that's just football" when talking about the last two games.

I think he has lost any edge that he ever had.
