I really think we will see a different Iowa team than what we saw the last 1/3 of the season.

ESPN computer simulation says Iowa, 28-27. Which, of course, is meaningless, but interesting...
As for me and my non-computer brain: Iowa-45, Missouri-17. The Hawkeye coaching staff, including Norm, and players circle the wagons and take a year of frustration out on the Tigers, who wish they had canceled this contract too...

Wow, it's pretty pathetic that the fan base would rather look forward to a 4-14 conference record than a Hawk bowl game.
I have to admit that when I read the title of this thread I thought that, when I saw all of the predictions I'd just read a bunch of Kool-aid drinking bravado about how we're going to roll Mizzou. But my faith has been restored in the fan base because it looks like roughly half of the fans here have attained a measure of objectivity and realistically picked Mizzou.
Hope, of course, the Hawks win but I see it 31-21 Tigers.

The fan base.. Yeah, some of the fan base is definitely screwed up.
Some will scream their heads off about a bunch of picks or an "underacheiving" offense. Some will scream their heads off about KOK's playcalling.
These same fans will accept an 8-4, or 7-5 record.
Which is it? Do they demand excellence or will they accept mediocrity? BTW, they wouldn't care about KOK's playcalling if they accepted mediocrity.
Why don't they critisize the defense? Or is it they'll never critisize Parker? Where's the objectivity?

Iowa will be ahead by 6 points for 55 minutes at which point Missouri will then take over and win the game in the last 5 minutes. Iowa will go into its vaunted bend but break zone defense and Missouri will go right down the field against a very tired Iowa defense that will do nothing different to stop Missouri. Missouri will score a TD with 2 minutes left in the game. Iowa will then put its offense on the field and try to score throwing 7-yard lateral passes and running up the middle. Missouri will blitz and do all kinds of things to confuse Iowa and it will work; Iowa will do nothing different and it will be three and out. Iowa loses by one point... Iowa is the best 55-minute team in the country! KF talks about how Iowa didn't execute and that is why Iowa lost the game...again.

I am having more faith in the Hawks recently. Got to thinking how youger players want to step up and lord knows the seniors want to have a good last game. I think the D has some proving to do (mostly to nfl scouts). So all in all I think they have a shot.

A month ago, I didn't think Iowa could beat Minnesota. Nothing has changed to make me think any different about this game.
According to one of the team leaders some players have quit.
Unless those players have been indentified and removed from the team, I don't see them being Missouri in the JV Fiesta Bowl.
