Pre-season coaches poll

Even so, considering where Iowa finished they underestimated Iowa by a large margin. The point is that preseason polls are very unreliable that they can not be used as a way to predict how the season will turn out. The default is to pretty much go with the way teams finished the previous season for a lot of the voters since they don't have time to research the teams. As far as I'm concerned preseason top 25s can just be ignored.

I feel more comfortable this year. Kirk has promised that he will stay focused on coaching...and that his other job of interior design person has been turned over to someone else. I think we should really be judging him the past few years on how the new facility looks. Based on that, I'd give him a new contract extension. Who's with me.

That being said, Justin Beiber could have prevented us from blowing the Nebraska game last year had he been on the sidelines.

Did you graduate Suma-Sarcas-Us? ;)

Can you provide exact details on Iowa's offseason development that makes them a preseason top 25 and which team they should displace and why? Or, are you simply stating that Iowa is the only team that develops during off seasons?

Don't you know Iowa now has smoothies in the weight room? Top 10, here we come!
