This just tells me PR really doesn't know what it takes to compete at the level needed to have a winning program....im mean, its beyond comical....they scored 21,38,30,35,7,27,7,17,10,34,52..and they fire the OC...ahahahah over the DC which gave up 27,21,31,42,71,58,41,21,48,0,44...ahahaha.

yet people on here actually like PR over KF...ahahahahahhaha.

Can't say I blame you for not watching Iowa State, but if you had you would know that the offense put the defense in bad situations all season. Between going 3 and out and turning the ball over, the defense was on the field too much and often deep in our own territory.

Burnham also had a decent amount of goodwill built up from fielding pretty solid defenses the last few years. The offense wasn't a whole lot better last season, Messingham's first. Meanwhile, their former offensive coordinator now calls the shots for Ohio State.

Congrats for posting our ppg...that really tells the whole story. Our defense was bad this year, but our offense was worse. You can look at our last game against WV where we threw a pick inside our own 10 and fumbled it inside our own 30 in the first half. Normally, that would have been enough for a blow out to happen, but WV was last against the pass and didn't put us away when they could have. Our opponents started with great field position on most drives so of course the defense is going to look bad. If the offense could sustain a drive our defense would have looked better.

Rhoads made a mistake hiring from within with Messingham. Hopefully he can find someone competent this time around. We're not going to have a top 10 offense or anything, but why should we be content with a terrible offense? If we had a pulse on offense these past 2 years we win a few more games.

I watch all of ISU games, and the simple fact is there is really no appreciable difference between this Paul Rhoads offense than any other year. Revolving QB's, check. Sub par RB play, check. Lackluster OL play, check. Inconsistent play calling, check.

The offense was bad under Herman, and has been poor under Mess. For some reason ISU fan wants to pretend that this is something new this year or under Mess, when in fact it has been a staple of Paul Rhoads football teams.

Agree. ISU "Pollard" getting the big 25M $ cha-ching endowment for the development of the South end zone at JT might have put some pressure on keeping season ticket holders happy and continue to promote selling ISU football to raise 25M more in matching funds from tickets, etc,. Having the OC back for next year would not have helped sell tickets.

This couldn't be more wrong. Fans were calling for Herman's head in year 3 and most were skeptical of the Messingham hire.
