Powell

It would make more sense to keep Powell of the field because he's limited if all the guys in front of him weren't also limited

They all have strengths and weaknesses. Playing a guy who's biggest strength (speed and ability to get open deep) highlights our QB's biggest weakness (ability to throw deep) does not appear to be the most intelligent solution to the problem.

Powell did average 30 yards a catch in his second year of juco ball, but its telling that he only caught 41 passes that year. Don't you think his team was trying to get him the ball all the time? Why didn't he return kicks at juco? He apparently doesn't have the skills.

The problem with most of our skill guys is that they are one dimensional, which is why they were all lightly recruited. Their limited usage gives away the plays we call, which is already a problem under the current staff. Weisman on the field signals run, Bullock signals pass, Powell signals bomb, Hillyer signals run, Kittle pass, etc.

One dimensional players have uses, but too many fans seem to think that we can add all the single skills up and result in one good player, but it doesn't work that way.
