Powel 4 catches 204 yards 2 tds

He should only come out when he needs a breather. I don't understand it... He has to know the playbook by now.

I agree he needs to be on the field. He opens the field up for so many others. I'm hoping his yards per catch goes up.

I think he's being utilized perfectly right now. With so little playing time, teams probably can't prepare for him properly. It's probably also his blocking. So if he can't block he can't be in there every down. Plus I'm sure there's plenty of times he was in and didn't get open.

I thought the WRs did an excellent job blocking downfield today. Powell is pretty small, maybe he's weak on blocking.

I actually wondered why we didn't try the screen with him again. If he gets in open field, nobody is catching him

We are 5 games in... its obvious he needs to be a bigger part of the passing game. Don't understand why he isn't being targeted more.

Others are saying it above - In KF's world you block first and then you can catch the ball. He will learn, seems like a sharp kid. Execute the offense the way it is designed when you are on the field and you get more playtime. Must be an O line coach thing. Just look at the O line blocking 15+ yards down the field on plenty of plays and you know the captain expects the WRs to be doing the same. I think when he gets the bump and run down to KF's satisfaction he will get more plays.

I guess the question is if he is dragging DBs off into coverage is that as effective as blocking? Would love to see a pistol look where the run/pass option is decided based on how the LBs/DBs react to WRs. Maybe JR isn't ready quite yet.

Man he had his coming out party today. He is one hell of a playmaker. I'd say there already woke ng on some schemes to get him in some one on one opportunities. GO HAWKS!

Because he's a specialist with a certain skill set who can use those skills in certain situations.

He also does a great job opening up the intermediate routes for other receivers. There was one time in the second half that he was on the outside with KMM on the inside. Powell did a fly route and that forced KMM's defender to the outside. KMM broke in with a hitch route and was able to convert on 3rd & long.
